Who are the owners?
Jake Angi grew up working with his parents remodeling and maintaining several rental properties along with completing modular home projects overseen by his father. Learning by experience, Jake, later on his own, began purchasing foreclosures and remodeling them for resale. While successfully completing several "flips", Jake continued to work for friends and family on home remodeling projects. From his experience and passion for the "before and after" Jake decided to challenge his skills by becoming a licensed building contractor and forming Angi Construction LLC.
After 5 years of high end commercial and residential remodeling projects, Jake was approached with an opportunity he could not pass up and he started his new adventure by purchasing a manufacturing facility in Nebo, NC. This facility would soon become the home to his new business, Riot Millworks, LLC. During Riot's first year, Jake was able to expand the facility by constructing a commercial dry kiln on site, increasing production to include the processing and sale of by-products created by the mill which in turn added several clients to his roster. While Jake still manages construction projects on the side, his main focus is the production of custom building materials at Riot Millworks, LLC.
Jake's wife, Morrissa has a strong background in design and she received her BS in Human Environmental Sciences, majoring in Interior Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2008. Since receiving her education, Morrissa has worked with Jake on numerous remodeling projects while also maintaining the online presence for Angi Construction & Riot Millworks. In addition to Angi Construction & Riot Millworks, Morrissa is the Director for the Community Affairs & Tourism for the Town of Valdese.
While new to the log home scene, Jake and Morrissa have combined experience and creativity to make every custom project idea a reality. Riot Millworks has been an exciting venture for them both and a wonderful playground for their 1 year old daughter Lydia.
